What is the dance leader?

The dance leader is the unit that steps into the spotlight (the one with the crown)
All the passives, element, attack strength of this player turn comes from the leader. (unless “for all witches” is specified)
the dance leader is wearing a crown

What is ability damage?

Ability damage is calculated when you fire the ability.
This means that ability damage modifiers comes from the caster of the ability!
This means that abilities that activates during player phase itself also scale off the ability caster. (for example, pieces)

What are intents?

Intents tell you roughly what the enemy will do next. It is the sideways square that hovers over their heads.

  • attack – deal damage
  • buff – increase enemy stats
  • heal – heal some hp
  • debuff – decrease witch stats
  • special – something really strange
  • stun – this enemy is stunned
  • summon – summon minion enemies

Many intents (especially for bosses) also change the player phase behavior of an enemy. Learning each enemy’s intents → patterns is the key to success!

What are alt dances?

A set dance for the constellation. You can swap between the character’s main dance and this one freely.

What is elemental damage?

Each zodiac has an element. Each enemy intent has an element. This is their color. When the zodiac and the intent match colors, you deal more damage to the enemy!

For example, Sagittarius and and the attack intent are both fire type, so sag is good against the attack intent
When your leader is strong against an enemy, the crown on its head will dance

Can I end my combo early?

hit the middle enemy with your unit to release your combo and do damage right away.

Status effects:

  • Exhaust – Character moves slower
  • Wondershield – Blocks all the other bad effects. Negates penalty towards 3-star count for a mission
  • Stun – Character can’t move
  • Poison – takes damage over time
  • Fury – attack is increased
  • Barrier – defense is increased
  • Expose – defense is decreased
  • Sedate – attack is decreased

How does Aries’ horns ability work?

you have to watch for the enemy’s cast. When their token is wiggling (casting), you can hit them to stun them out of their spell.

What is the best character in Arrowmancer

That’s the beauty of it: you can make your own character in Arrowmancer, But some of the fixed witches are really good too. The game is very new, so the community hasn’t decided on a tier list yet. This game is fresh for you to explore!

Why are there 1-star characters?

1-star characters are useful for the support! Since the number of stars that a manager can command is limited, lower star characters are really good value for the amount of command they use up.

What is a manager/contributor? ( Arrowmancer Teambuilding)

How to unlock the manager system

  • Limit break a unit for it to unlock its manager potential. Each subsequent limit break adds a slot for a sub
  • Note that you still have to change roles manually to confirm the state change
  • you can limit break without making the character a manager
  • the manager ↔ contributor change is reversible

Managers vs. contributors

  • It is not always good to have managers.
  • A manager has much lower stats. In exchange, they can equip the passives of other characters. They receive the passives of those sub units, in exchange for giving up their own passives and some stats.
  • In comparison Contributors have much higher stats, but they cannot equip others’ passives.
You can toggle units between manager and contributor by paying a small fee and using the “change role” button on the character details page.
  • Note that Managers have COMMAND. This is the total number of stars of the supports that unit this unit can manage!
  • This is the place where lower star units really shine, as they are smaller in size, so you can fit a lot of passives under the same manager!

Synergies

  • When the manager and its contributors match in specific ways, the unit gets a boost
  • Lots of fun sets, here’s some to get you started
  • 3 supports of the same element as the manager
  • 2 supports with the same blood type as the manager
